Open Air Campaigning

On May 29th I had my first experience campaigning in the open air. It was incredible to say the least. I was a translator for this great couple from England named Mike & Dawn. They had come to Sheqeras for three days to help us out. They trained us ( the staff and I ) on how to properly do a sketch board on the street, how to tell children’s stories and so much more. I was also able to translate for them as we went to the school in Sheqeras and did a mini English class for students of all ages. All this work lead up to our grand finally getting to preach in the streets! It was lead by Mike and translated by me. I was a bit timid when it began but boy did my voice come in. I was translating quickly and with a voice that projected for all in the village to hear. We had attracted a crowd and that was incredible! So many people were getting to hear a message about our amazing Lord that we serve without really knowing that in the beginning of it. People listened and the tricks going on, on the sketch board attracted them. I was doubtful that people would stick around to listen but they did. A Bible was given to a skeptic after a debate that night. The next day he came to say that the Bible is the truth ; as well as saying he was wrong for standing with the opposition. Great changes are coming to this village and great changes are coming to Albania! Thank you Lord for taking me to places I never thought I’d be. For giving me gifts that I didn’t understand. I never knew why out of all the languages in the world my first was Albanian. Now I know, it has given me the ability to interact with more people than I ever could have imagined. I cannot wait to get out in the streets again and tell more people about how great my God is.
